The climate in North Carolina offers the opportunity for two growing seasons – but during certain times of the year there is a shortage of subsurface moisture. Ellingson provided a solution for Black Gold Farms by installing a fully automated, complete drainage and subsurface irrigation systems. From design to installation, Ellingson provided a solution that afforded an ability to irrigate the subsurface soil as well as an adequate drainage system to remove excess water. The outcome was a major increase in land condition and an overall ROI for Black Gold Farms.
