CIPP – Pipe Rehabilitation in Healthcare Facility
Projects / Commercial & Industrial Infrastructure / CIPP – Pipe Rehabilitation in Healthcare Facility
2018
An off-site plumber identified holes in a hospital’s sewer main, which ran directly underneath what they called the power plant of the hospital. Because of its location, it was impossible to dig down to the pipe to rehab it, so the only other alternative was seemingly to dig a completely new line in a completely new direction. EIM came up with a plan to line the existing pipe using their cured-in-place-pipe (CIPP) solution, which effectively lined the existing pipe so that it no longer leaked. The hospital’s on-site plumber dealt with flow control, setting up the by-pass to patient care rooms, while EIM completed their work at night to limit the amount of flow through (or impact to) that by-pass system.
