Efficient Pipe Ramming Techniques for Installation and Grading

Explore a Quicker Solution Than Traditional Jack and Boring Methods

Pipe Ramming is a process where a steel pipe is installed with a pneumatic hammer. The grade can be set and controlled from the launch pit, with distances up to 150 feet possible. As the steel line is installed, the soil is forced into the interior of the pipe. Once the pipe is installed to its desired locations, the soil is removed from inside. This is an ideal option for casing pipe, culverts, and many other options.

Benefits

  • Limit hole size overcutting compared to HDD
  • Reduced risk of surface heaving
  • Enhanced efficiency for shorter crossings
  • Minimal impact with a smaller footprint
