This varies by position. The Company will provide and support team members to obtain certifications as needed.
Safety is an important part of Ellingson culture, as we want everyone to return home safely. Ellingson provides all required PPE, except for steel toe boots. After 60 days of employment, Ellingson reimburses employees up to $150 for the purchase of steel toe boots. Employees are eligible for reimbursement every calendar year.
Yes, and this varies by availability and the needs of the business. We have hired Field Engineers, HR, Finance, Sales, IT, and various other interns.
Candidates are phone-screened and invited for an interview if their qualifications meet the position requirements. If selected for hire, a candidate receives an offer, and all offers are contingent on pre-employment requirements (an acceptable MVR and a drug screen). After a candidate meets pre-employment requirements, a start date is set with the Hiring Manager and a member of the HR team.

Our busy season for some crews is from April – December, with few exceptions. Selected crews will remain busy throughout the year, where team members are placed on furlough during the winter months when the work Ellingson cannot be performed.
Ellingson works on a variety of projects, including commercial and industrial projects.
This will vary by role. Typically, office staff work between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM. Crews work from approximately 6 AM and 7 PM, varying in weather, location, and type of projects.
Work-from-home arrangements are determined by the role. Any exceptions are made by your direct supervisor.

The Company pays for lodging. A crew member is paid their hourly rate if you travel more than sixty miles from your home shop. Crew members also receive a minimum of $50 per diem for each night that they travel.
Selected positions will receive a company vehicle which is outlined in the offer letter. Crew members will ride along with the Foreman in a company vehicle.
If you work on a field crew, a Foreman will book and pay for your travel and loading. Selected positions will book their own travel, with the use of a company credit card.
